Turning challenges into success

off-road biking, Mt. Fuji

Please click HERE to read about our world record climb up Mt. Fuji in August of 2007.

Yes indeed, handcycles are no longer relegated to just the roads!

Thanks to Mike Ausgspurger at titanium arts, individuals in wheelchairs can now find themselves out in places they would never otherwise get to.  Yes, most of the world is bumpy, lumpy, hilly, and hard to get to, in other words, everything BUT wheelchair accessible.   And many of those hard to get to places sure are fun, and now I have been trying my hardest to seek as many out as I can find!

Listed above are just a few pictures from the life changing climb I was involved in 2007, which is only one of many climbs that have been performed by paraplegics on the One-off bike.  Peaks such as the likes of Mt. Kilimanjaro have also been ascended on this bike.

But you don't have to climb a 14,000 foot mountain to join in on the fun.  There are mountain biking and hiking trails in just about everyone's town.  You now have the means to go check it out!
In fact, I have been fortunate enough to have contacts at our Parks and Rec department here in Tucson, AZ, and they have actually carved out some SWWEEEET trails specifically for the One-off handcycles.   In fact, it is our desire to host events to bring One-off owners from around the world to come enjoy unique off-roading in the desert.

And stay tuned, soon to be posted on this web site will be some riding video on the unique trails at Robles, including "helmet cam" to give you a virtual experience in riding one of these babies.  In the meantime, check out the photo gallery below, with some pictures taken while the rare and beautiful desert wild flowers are in bloom.
